Further explanation CS filing system
For those that asked about how the cardstock is separated, I cut a Georgia Pacific CS in half (because the cardstock is really inexpensive so it doesn't KILL me to WASTE it this way. LOL) stuck the label with the name of the cardstock on it and used it as a divider between the sheets of paper. For the "Scrap" box, I folded a piece of scratch paper (you know those sheets you mess up and are going to throw away anyway) in half, taped the sides to form a pocket, labeled it and stick the little scraps in that. Can you tell I am a FRUGAL person? I hate waste! Especially stamping waste.

Cardstock system
For my Pen Pals who couldn't visualize this, here is the cardstock filing system that I have sitting on my desk. Since the majority of my CS is Stampin'UP I filed it in alphabetical order by name. I keep 6 half sheets in each slot and right next to it I have a box with the scraps. It helps that I don't have to get up and go to my cabinet every time I need cardstock. It gives me more time to STAMP!!!

I'M BACK!!!

Whew, exciting and fun, saw a lot of different sites. New York was FABULOUS! We are going to have to dedicate a trip exclusively to NEW YORK. We were there only one day (rooms are beyond expensive!) but we certainly saw a lot in that short time.
The trip started out with me hooking up and meeting one of my SCS Pen Pals. Lisa and my sister Annie and I met, went to dinner, had ice cream and generally had a great time. Next day I got to meet my brand new Great-nephew Logan. What a cutie, and such a good and quiet baby! (see picture above).
We were off to New York the next night on the Red Eye from San Francisco, not my favorite part of the trip. Flying is ok but the seats are so cramped and I was sitting scrunched in the middle so it was VERY uncomfortable. We had a Limo pick us up (not as extravagant as you would think, the Limo was less than what the BUS cost to take us from the ship to the Airport in NY)
After New York we boarded the Cruise ship in Brooklyn of to Halifax, Nova Scotia, then Saint John, New Brunswick. Next came Bar Harbor, Maine and Boston, MA. We were suppose to stop in Rhode Island, but the hurricane made it necessary to hurry back to New York so that we wouldn't be caught at sea during the storm. Ah well.
They had scrapbooking classes on board and although I am not a Scrapbooker we took the classes. It was basic, but I got a lot of good ideas from the classes. Hopefully I will put them to good use. I will post some pictures and hopefully get to stamp again this weekend. I am giving a class on the 20th at the LSS and the owner called to let me know my class is full. Yippee!!!!

Flying the Coop!!!

This card is for the Pen Pal Challenge to use a stamp that has never been inked. I got this stamp as a gift in June and I am using it finally!!
We (the four chicks represent the four cousins going on Cousin's Cruise #4) are Flying the Coop.............Headed to New York next week.
The glitter doesn't show well in the picture but it does IRL.
It is missing something, maybe ribbon? or DEW DROPS!!!! Too late, I have already mailed it but maybe the next one I do will have more Bling. I was kind of in a hurry to get it mailed out.
I have 3 sisters so I will have to make a card using the 4 chicks for the sister who's birthday comes next or maybe for invitations to the next Sister's get toghether? Such a variety of things I can use this for! TFL!!

Rainbow Sherbet

I love these colors. They remind me of rainbow sherbet which brings back fond memories of my childhood. We use to go to the corner store every once in a great while and our father would give each one a dime for a double scoop of ice cream. Except for me. He gave me a nickel for a single scoop since I was only around 4 or 5.
Naturally, I always felt left out. The store owner, nice person that she was, always gave me an extra little scoop on top to make me feel grown up. I always chose Rainbow Sherbet, because I loved the colors! That was before I discovered ROCKY ROAD of course!!! Now I am usually torn choosing between the two.
I am still using my scraps from my scrap box. This Thanks has hung around forever so it was time I used it. Thanks for looking!!!!

My Little Boxes
I am going on a New England/Canada Cruise with 3 of my cousins in just 10 days (as all my pen pals know and are tired of hearing) We usually have a group of 8 to 11 that go but not this time. One of our traditions is the giving of a little gift. Nothing expensive just some little thing. We each take turns giving our gift out at the dinner table each night and it is just so much fun.
This year I bought these cute little ID holders. Now I have the gift, how do I wrap it? I decided making boxes was the thing to do. I proceeded to measured and cut and score and Voila!!!! here they are. There are individual pictures of each box below.

The Pink and Black Box
I really liked the way this one came out. I JUST got this cardstock a couple of weeks ago. I can't believe I am actually using it already. I usually hoard it for at least a year! The lighbulb moment came when I was cutting the edges to fold the box in. Wow, I could use my new CB embossing edge folders!!! Woohoo! I used "With Love" at both ends, and the flower edge on both sides. It really looks cool!

Little Boxes
Box number 3. I have had this DP for quite a while, who knew it matched Rose Red and Going Grey? Just got the bottle of black, white with black polka dots, white with grey edges, and these nice gray Primas.
SUPPLIES: DP, Primas, Scallop scissors, NEW CB Flower border embossing folder, pink Walmart Crystals, and the wonderful Scor-Pal
