Shop, Shop, Shop Until we Drop, Drop, Drop!

This was such a fun card to make. First off, I am not fond of Orange. In looking for inspiration I saw the Challenge to use orange, and since I just received my new IN color CS I used some Dusty Durango, or as I call it, ORANGE.
I received a nice little note, and some pretty nifty crowns, from my good friend and pen pal, PEARLABELLA!!! That little note had a little drawing at the bottom and I very boldly and unashamedly (is that a word?) copied it. I am extremely pleased at the way the drawing came out. The shop, shop, shop is handwritten also. I love that the little orange and black brad fits in so well with this color scheme, two colors that I personally would never think to put together. My second card is another that I was really please with. I was cutting the ribbon and as everyone knows, this twill stuff unravels very easily. I caught it on my fingernail and it really went crazy. Fortunately, it looked good that way so I decided to use it as is.

A Challenge from Stamps R Us

My Kota's Kid friend Carrie has a challenge on here blog: http://stampsscrapsandscissors.blogspot.com/

This is my entry for the challenge. I bought a stamp, my first one in months, when I was in Joannes the other day and I had a 50% coupon plus a 10%. I had very little time to shop so this is all I got. Just a quick card and not really what I wanted. I might give the colors another shot.

Inspiration where art thou?

I have been stumped for new ideas lately so I looked around to see what I could find. I found a T-shirt of mine and this is the result. I used markers to watercolors the flowers. Not too bad, but still not what I was looking for. Oh well, tomorrow is another stamping day. No idea why the picture is turned. To tired to try to reload. Hope you can see it ok. TFL!!!

IN colors FINALLY!!!

I am so slow it is really pathetic. I have had my IN color ribbon for so long and keep saying I was going to order the CS but other things kept getting in the way. Things like, food. And clothes. Trivial things. LOL.
I FINALLY did it and the new (to me) colors are in the house.

I am thinking that Razzleberry will be my favorite color, but I really like the Suede...... I am using my new MS edge and corner punch too, and FINALLY using the ribbon that I have had for soooooooooo long. I am not a big fan of bright colors but this can grow on me.

A CASE

I am finally stamping again, but today I ran across a card by Silke Ledlow on her blog that I really really liked. I love her style anyway, but I was really stuck in a rut so I looked at different blogs to see what I could find. Her blog is called My Life and you can see the card there

I haven't taken the time to figure out how to link you to it all nice and pretty so I hope you can see the original.

I did a sympathy card as sadly a longtime friend passed away and I was not able to go to the funeral. She was in her 90's and I remember her as always being upbeat and loving. May the Lord help her family through the loss. I used my Swiss Dot strip and the Scor pal for the lines. Round Nestabilities, the sentiment stamp is a $1 stamp from Michaels, the flowers a friend gave me. Martha Stewart leaf and branch punches amd the Designer paper is Gentle Beginnings. This is actually the first card I did. The flowers, the circles, leafs and branches were already just hanging about in my scrap box.

Valentine, my Valentine.

More Valentines. hmmmmmm. I wonder if my friend (she knows who she is) will recognized the second one here?

Here is the story. I received an oh so gorgeous Valentine from Japan. Gorgeous as it was, the Post Office had the audacity to mutilate it. It was ripped and crushed all along the top part. So I recycled it and sent it off the the Cards for a Cause. Hope you don't mind Siobella!

Valentines for a Cause

It's Friday. I am still working on making cards for a cause. One of my Kota's Gas Bagger Pals asked us to contribute card to a hospital and I have been working on some but have been really busy doing other stuff so just have a few made. But it's better than nothing I guess. Here are 3 of the few I have made.

I have really fallen down on the stamp a card a day quest. Other things keep getting in the way but that's ok.

Card #1 is a simple card, the Be Mine is handwritten.
Card #2 is also quick and easy. The hearts are hand carved.
Card #3 is also quick and easy, just a scrap of DP, two hearts cut out on the Cricut with the George Basic Cartridge, Embossed with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, a tiny bow, and a hand written "with love". TFL!!!
