Sees Card

When I went on my last cruise I was able to stop by and meet one of my SCS Pen Pals Lisa. My sister and I had such a fun time with her and her family. She gave me a box of my favorite See's Candy. This card was made using the outside wrapper, pretty fall leaves, which happened to be made of cardboard. The dewdrops we recently purchased as a group also fit in with the colors. How cool is that?

SSNOTIME57 Challenge card

Who knew I wouldn't have time to stamp, but needed a card in a big hurry. I used my TAC DP paper and the matching tag. The background circle in burgundy was made using my Cricut George Basic cartridge, the Happy Birthday using the Beyond Birthday Cartridge. I embossed the bottom witht he Argyle CB embossing folder.

Red and Black Blossom

I finally used the flower I drew ages and ages ago. It has been sitting on my desk forever all colored and ready to go. I love the marble texture cube I have. I stamped it with Versamark and embossed in black.

More Polished Stone

Polished stone looks so pretty, however, for me it is so difficult to get something to look right with it. Silhouette stamps work the best I think. This card came together pretty quickly after I did the pink one.
Stamps: Penny Black Brush Stroke Sunflower, Hello sentiment is unknown.
Paper/Cardstock: White Glossy
Accessories: Wal Mart self adhesive clear chrystals (boy I love those babies!)
More Mustard chiffon ribbon, White Chiffon Ribbon

Vintage BD Card

My husband's niece is having a 65th birthday party. Unfortunately, she lives 400 miles away and since I work full time, we are unable to go.

So, I made her a special birthday card. This is a picture I had of her when she was 18 months old. They were on the ranch and my hubby says they had just gathered the eggs from the chickens when she toddled over and picked up an egg. She gently put it back a while later.

I scanned the picture and printed it in Sepia tones on Vanilla Cardstock and stitched around the picture and the rest of the card. My sewing machine is over 28 years old and is on it's last legs I think. My sewing is limited to repairing things and since I don't sew very often I have never replaced it. Maybe a little Janome sewing machine for cardmaking only, is in my future? LOL!

I used my new Martha Stewart Scallop edge punch that my friend gave me the other day, dewdrops, green satin ribbon and some vanilla and gold ribbon I've had for a long time. The DP paper is a scan of a paper storage box I have. TFL!

Another Sunrise

Another sunrise! The sun is coming out behind me while the moon is still visible and going down in front of me! How cool is this? You can just see the rays of the sun hitting the tree stump. Wow!

Pink Polished Stone

I have had some sheets of polished stone for YEARS! I got some silhouette stamps from my hubby in June and I finally used those too. Two things at once. Yay me! Simple card.

Beautiful Sunrise

So, I have been getting up before dawn this past week and I caught this sunrise from our front porch. Isn't it lovely? Stamper that I am, my first thought was, How can I use this in a card? Maybe I can duplicate it using the brayer? We'll see.
