Birthday blues.

It's been a productive couple of days. Four cards, Woo Hoooooo!!! I will be greedy and post them one at a time because I did not stamp today and I can't tomorrow either, and there is also the fact that I only have a quick few minutes to post.

This card is nowhere near what I visualized when I started. I have been trying to get away from using flowers so much but these two started speaking to me quietly. Then they got really loud so I just had to shut them up. LOL!!! The label punch sentiment came abpit because I put a big ole smudge there and had to cover it up. The frame is also another boo boo. It is suppose to say Birthday girl in the middle but I tore it when I took it off the Cricut sticky mat (new mat, have to be careful)

So, now you know that creativity has a way of nudging you the way it wants to go rather where YOU think it should go. I had loads of fun and frustration making this card, hope you enjoy looking at it.

And the Thanks continue!

Here are four more Thank You cards. It should have been 5 but I had so much trouble uploading these I gave up on the fifth one. I will give it a try tomorrow.
This sunflower image has been hanging out on my desk FOREVER!!! I am glad to finally get it used !!
I kind of messed this one up, those clear acrylics are hard to stamp with, for me anyway. They don't seem to line up straight and I even have a graph acrylic block. Guess it just takes practice!!! Love the butterflys that Aussie Babe sent me!!! I used liquid pearls for the centers to match the flower.
I used the new Flower soft that my wonderful DH bought me for Chrismas on the next two cards, and the new MS edge punch I bought with a Michaels gift card I was given.

Thank You Cards Galore!

Good morning everyone!!! It is a balmy 42 degrees outdoors. I say balmy because it has been in the teens lately here in the mountains of Northern California. Hopefully the sun will be out sometime today but it is suppose to rain or snow so we'll see.

I have been working on Thank You cards lately. I didn't know I had so many Thank You stamps and dies, what a surprise. I have been on a roll, 8 cards in 3 days!!! Woohoo!!! (for me that is HUGE)

I have also been using images and things I already had colored and cut out as in the 1st card. I love the fruit in Stampin'Ups Thanksgiving Blessings. I colored them with chalk which looks soft IRL. This DP is from s.e.i Mimosa Paper pack and the SU Cute and Curly punch and stamp set. Easy peasy.Another Easy Peasy card, Ribbon, flower, button and a Thanks die from Provo Craft. There are 4 different Thank You dies and a flower on one plate. I had forgotten I had it. Too much stuff as my DH would say!!

Happy Birthday die cut

Happy New Year everyone. I am still trying to photograph and post all my cards. I am really liking this leisure thing. I have an order for Thank You cards and All occaision cards so I am busy creating. I will also be posting the rest of the Christmas cards I made. Here is a simple Burgundy and white birthday card. I love this die and embossing combo and the ribbon I found at Joannes I think.

Happy Birthday CASE

Finally found a use for this DP. And the SU stamp set. I wanted it for so long and it took me forever to use it. It has only been used twice. Go figure. Love that I had buttons that match. Manly card?

Christmas Cards Oh Christmas Cards

I have been stamping my little hands off lately and getting nowhere! Here is a nice card using up some of my scraps sheets of paper. I had this raffia bow sitting around forever too. Nothing fancy, but I kinda like the way it came out

**thought for the day : Stress thrives when we allow the many voices in life to drown out the only voice that really matters, the voice of God. Even Jesus couldn't please everyone. Why do we think we can? ***

Have a great day!

Starbucks, Yum!!

We are giving a couple of Starbucks cards as gifts this year. I purchased them yesterday and the nice girl handed me the card in a really cute little bag. Crafter that I am, I thought, hmmmm, those would make cute card. I asked her for another bag, as I had 2 cards to make, and the nice girl gave me 4 for good measure.

I cut out a 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 square of Garden green, tore the bag to fit and glued it on the CS. Then I mounted that on a 5 x 5 kraft brown card base. Below is the inside of the card. I followed the theme by stamping branches, using the SU Fantastic Foliage stamp set, in Versamark and embossing with White Embossing powder. I adhered a strip of green CS with Merry Christmas stamped on it to the bottom and tucked the Starbucks gift card in there. So fast, so simple.

Christmas Gift bows and Tags

Woohoo!!! I finally started my Holiday stamping and gift making. I purchased a WHOLE lot of ribbon when I went to Costco one day. It comes in rolls of 50 yards so I will be using this forever!!! Seriously, I have some I bought 9 years ago and it is still going strong. I am, however, sharing these with my sisters so it will go faster. I made this Red and gold Poinsietta and the Gold holly bows with the matching tags. This tag is 3x3 and the gold one is 3 1/2 x 3 1/2.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIE!

Happy birthday to my pen pal Julie!!! Just love the Oct 31 stamp I found at Joanne's. I used it only once and sent it to Julie as a gift (slightly used, but for a good cause) since I do not celebrate Halloween

Happy Sunday. Another day, another posting.

This is a BD card I made for my Pen Pal friend who currently resides in Japan. I had the opportunity to not only meet her last weekend, but to give her the card in person. Yes, it was late, as usual.

I used a beautiful paper that another friend had given me years ago, and that I had been hoarding forever. I thought it fitting, as she is the ultimate paper hoarder and she can appreciate the gesture.
Cardstock: SU Lavendar Lace, Artichoke, Black.
Stamps: Crane, Unknown, bought at a stamp convention, HB Penny Black
Accessories: gems from Walmart, Pearl Ex, Veramark and Gold embossing Powder.

Challenges

I have been doing the challenges these past couple of days and here is the product of my labors. The Friday Limited Supplies Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers (SCS) was a Girlie Girl card and the Inspiration challenge on Saturday inspired the flowery card.
My next mission in life is to try to stay away from flowers for awhile which will be difficult as the majority of my stamps are flowers. Let's see how I do. Thanks for looking.
