Happy Thursday

Happy Thursday!  It is a gloomy, rainy, generally blah day today.  We need a few flowers to brighten our day so here we go.
I used another 2 stamps from my new CTMH stamp sets, a piece of white cut out with my Cricut, cut in half and crimped.  I finally used the Large Dot embossing folder I just had to have, then never used.

Hello from Boonie Land!

It has been so long since I posted.  It is not that I haven't been stamping, just not posting.  So here we go with some of my newest creations.  They are not all original creations, I have drawn inspirations from Splitcoaststampers but I had fun doing them

The weather has finally warmed up.  We had snow last week, and today it was in the mid 70's a definite improvement!

The card posted for today is actually an original.  I love the stripes and the little squares are cut with a die that I have had for ages and just got around to using.  No actual stamping, but a creation nevertheless.  The sentiment was cut using my Cricut Expression.

More Copic work.  I used my new Gina K Design stamps, the sentiment is cut with the Cricut.  Easy Peasy

 New Nestie Dies too! Need to figure out what sentiment to use.  I think this one could use a sheer ribbon along the side?

And yet another post! I'm on a roll.

 

I elected to do a challenge over on SCS.  This did not turn out like I envisioned it but that's ok.  I did learn something new, and probably everyone but me knew this, but I finally figured out how to do 2 different patterns on the same card in the direction that I wanted them.  I was always stumped because I wanted the pattern to go in one direction but if I had the card folded the "normal" way, it wouldn't fit in the Big Shot.  DUH! I finally figured out to flip the tabs of my multi platform, and sandwich the embossing folder into my card.   So simple.

Copics in the House

I have a looong way to go learning how to use these Copics.  I messed it up so badly I had to cut the image out but over all not too bad.  Had fun with it anyway.

Using up my odds and ends

The good news is I am still using up my stash of stuff that I stamped, embossed, colored, or cut out.  The bad news is I keep making more stuff and I have accumulated even MORE!!!  Maybe I should just donate the stuff I have on hand.  hmmmmm.  

Flower Punch

I just love my new Matstack of DP.  Love the colors and the designs.

My wonderful hubby bought me various stamping goodies for Christmas.  A set of Copic Markers was at the top of list.  I am trying to figure out how to use them, because the backside of living in the back of beyond is there are no classes available since "Town" is 55 miles away and there aren't any classes available anywhere.  I will have to make do with Youtube tutorials.  Ahhh well. 

This card required no coloring.  I used my new punch by EK Success.  It is a border punch and you are suppose to be able to just use a quiller to make the flower.  I did not like how it came out when I used the quiller so I cut each petal apart and glued them to a small circle in 2 layers.  I finished it off with a flower I had made earlier using my fringer and quiller.  The leaves were made using a Nestabilities Foliage Die.

More Christmas

Quick and easy is my motto this year.  Next is to actually get them mailed which seems to be a problem for me.  I get them made, and they sit there.  Forever.  LOL

Merry Christmas Card #1!!!!

I can't believe I haven't posted since July!!! Where has the time gone?  I have been busy doing other things and have really neglected my stamping!!! Quilting has become an obsession too so now I am trying to balance the 2 hobbies.. .... let's see how it goes!

I am loving this Cricut Christmas tag (Joys of  .  I am also loving this Christmas DP I found on my last trip to Joanns.  Good stuff Maynard! (does anyone remenber the Mapo commercials?)

CAS White

I finally used my border embossing folders . These are easy peasy.  The photo is not the best quality but you might just make out the scoring lines on the blue card to, adds a little extra to the card.

More Poppy Parade

I am absolutely loving the SU Poppy Parade and the new Lattice embossing folder.  Woohoo!!!

KK Flowers Pink

My friend KK sent me a wonderful stamp set and I just had a lot of fun the other day using them.  Love the MS butterfly punch and my most favorite Swiss Dot Embossing folder.

Sistah Thank You

We met, we ate, we stamped and generally had a good time. 

I finally got to meet again with my Kota Pen Pal "Sistahs" and we had a really good time.  Of course we should have spent more time stamping and less time talking?  I learned more about the SU watercolor crayons and now I want them all!!!!  This is a thank you note for the Hostess with the Mostest Pinkerstinkerabella!  It will be in the mail soon!
