Generic anything goes Cards
A friend of mine asked me to make some cards for her without sentiments. so that she could use them for whatever occaision she had the need for. What? I thought it would be a piece of cake as I always have a hard time fitting sentiments in, but alas, I found that hard to do also. LOL! go figure. I tried to make masculine type cards . What do you think?

I am really on a roll doing the challenges. LOL! only did 2 but hope to do another tomorrow if I have time. This was for the Try a New Technique challenge. I had this lovely ribbon flower made, note that it I made the flower and left it attached to a long stretch of ribbon, but I didn't know what to do with it. The challenge solved my problem. Alas, it is just a smidge short, but oh well, still usable!

SCS Challenge card
These were wonderful colors for a masculine card, I, however, could not resist putting flowers on it. Sigh.
I was able to make use of stuff I had just sitting around looking useless. Have I mentioned I have a WONDERFUL DH? He bought me an ELECTRIC Big Shot for Christmas so the first thing I did was run all kinds of things through it.
This Old Olive green was the first thing I did. The flowers and the Scalloped bit of white paper I did a long time ago, so I am glad I finally used them.

Christmas, Christmas and More!
I have been stamping so much lately, Woohoo!!! At last. I am so glad that my hubby is getting better. We won't know until the end of January whether or not the radiation stopped the growth of the tumor and hopefully everyone will continue to pray for that to have happened.
I made the Noel card for my Mom. Simple but elegant. The picture really doesn't do it justice. Love that shiny CS from Walmart!
The letter were cut out using the Storybook Cricut Cartridge, SU square punches, Martha Stewart Snowflake punch, Swiss Dot Embossing Folder and Scor-Pal were used. Oh, and my new GYPSY! Love that thing, can't believe I procrastinated so long getting it!
This is a simple card I made for the UPS guy. He does a super job and is so friendly and accomodating. The inside has a little pocket for a tip.My good friend Mela gave me a Bird punch, and my good friend and Pen Pal Carol sent me a wonderful card using a bird image so I CASED it. I love how this came out and will be sending as a TY to Mela!

Skeleton Leaves
It has been a really long time since I posted anything, AGAIN. I have been creating. I use to say I have been stamping, but that has not been the case lately, however, I plan to actually STAMP a card tomorrow. I have over a dozen cards made for a friend so I need to get them uploaded. I love Dusty durango.

Getting it together!
Hello everyone! It has been a long time between posts. I am finally getting back to my card making but it has been a long road.
In mid June my husband was finally able to get in and get an MRI done to find out why he was not able to see out of his right eye, even though he had cataract surgery. The news was not good, he was diagnosed with a tumor in his head. He had surgery on June 29 and after an agonizing LONG wait the results of the pathology were in and the tumor is BENIGN!!! To God be the Glory!!!
The tumor is benign but still not good. He is almost done with 6 weeks radiation treatments and the hope is that it will kill the tumor and stop it from growing, but it will not shrink it therefore. he has lost most of the sight in that eye permanently. We pray for a good outcome, in that it truly does kill the tumor for good, and Praise the Lord that it is benign.
Now on to stamping. I have been stamping a bit lately and here is a card I made for one of my Pen Pals. I did another BD card using the same DP which, by the way, came as a gift from my Secret Sistah! Thank you Marcine!

Happy 30th Anniversary!!!
My wonderful husband Bill and I have been married for 30 years today. I started making him the usual funny masculine card, but then I thought, this one is special. 30 years. So I proceeded to make one for US instead of just for him. He doesn't really care, he loves everything I do, so he says.
I love Blush blossom and will be sorry to see it go. I used a vanilla base for all, and sponged blush blossom on the flowers. I found I had some blush shaded pearls to go with everything which was a plus. The corner swirls are done on the Cricut Expression Home Accent Cart.

An 'udder Birthday Card.
This little cow by TAC is sooooo cute! My sisters went to Arizona recently to visit a cousin of ours, without me I might add, as my DH was ill and I couldn't leave him, they had the joy of visiting the local Hobby Lobby there. My cousin was kind enough to think of me, and sent me some DP and vellum papers she purchased there. As her birthday is at the end of this month, I made her a card using some of the DP she sent me, even tho it was difficult to overcome my hoarding tendencies. The DP happily matches with Razzleberry and Bashful blue and I had already made a few flowers using the Razzleberry so that worked out well. I hope she likes it.

New DP in the House!
We went to Michaels on Sunday because I had a 40% coupon burning a hole in my pocket. I did buy some stuff for my Pen Pal SS swap, but also found some yummy ribbon on sale for $1 and of course couldn't pass it up. I also found this wonderful DP by K&Company called Life's Journey. I really really like it.
I am not real happy with the bow but it will do. I really like the rose on the second card and Ruby Red just happened to go really well with this DP. TFL!
Boxed set Scallop
Several people have asked how I did the oval for the boxed set. This is what is it looks like when it is cut using the George Cartride oval cut using the silhouette mode.
I pulled the two pieces off the sticky sheet, stamped the inner oval, adhered it to the base of the card, then adhered the outer oval which I left white around it.

Daisy, Daisy!!
This card is a part of a gift set I made for one of my sisters and for a friend. The box matches this card for one set and the other set has a Razzleberry box. I totally forgot to take a picture of the Crushed curry before I gave it away but I will try to photograph the Razzleberry one before I give that one away. Here is what the entire set looks like. I used all the SU "IN" colors because I had the textured cardstock, the pens and the ribbon to match. The stamp set is from Cornish Heritage farms and I absolutely love it!!! I will be making some bookmarks with this stamps set.

Double Challenge Card!
Clean and simple sketch challenge FTL87 Love the look of this sketch and No Time to Stamps SS137 challenge for a 3D flower.
SCS Challenge card
I was especially impressed with how fast this card came together because I am not a fast stamper. The hardest part was getting the scallop edge punch and the corner punch to line up right. I wasted about four different squares of CS and it STILL came out a little off. I don't have this problem with the other punches I have. Hmmmm. I was wondering where I could possibly use this green Prima with and lo and behold this DP matches. Unbelievable.

Blue Vase with Daisies
Love these daisies. I found both the daisy and the vase on the Walk in My Garden Cricut cartridge. What I love about it is that I can make soooooo many different sizes of daisies. This is a one inch daisy and the vase is 2 inch. The butterfly was cut using a MS punch and I used my new SU punch for the sentiment. Woohoo. TFL!

Computer Problems, GRRRRRRRR
I think computers are a wonderful invention. Someones idea of torturing us. LOL I purchased a Portable Media Device which can also be used as an external drive to safeguard my photos and my cards. So, what happens? The silly thing goes bonkers on me. Not only have I lost ALL the pictures and cards that I didn't have the good sense to upload to an additional place, but now I have to figure out another way of uploading to my blog. I dislike intensly figuring new things out!! Ok nuff said, I finally figured out where on my computer this picture lurked and how to get it here. This is still using the Vintage Vogue set. (as an added bonus, my blog has changed the method it used to upload so I have to figure that out too. Sometimes it doesn't pay to get up!)

SU Vintage Vogue set
Wow Posting three cards in one day!!! I have been stamping, but not posting. I finally broke down and bought the IN colors and the Vintage Vogue set. I love the flowers of course but I also love the sentiments. I am not real impressed with the SU textured CS though. Too flimsy I think.
I found the Ric Rac on the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridge. Will be using it again I think. The BG is a Hero arts Stamp and I stamped the image long ago. You can barely see it but I used the new Vintage Label underneath the Flower too.
Last but not least the Happy Birthday Card. All the added curly q's are the result of sloppy stamping. I had to find someway to cover it up as I made the mistake of adhering the flowers 1st before I stamped the sentiment.Okay, I have had it with the computer today. I tried posting on SCS 3 times, no luck. I tried a couple of times here, had to come back. Now one of the cards I uploaded has disappeared. Grrrrrrrrrrr. I will try again tomorrow I think. Time to give it a rest.

Whateva!!!
I am loving the new (to me) IN color Melon Mambo. I really thought that the Razzleberry would be my fav but I find myself using Melon more. WHATEVA! I saw this cute card with the Whateva on it and I promply drew it and set it aside. Found it the other day and this card is the result. I used my quiller to make the flower. Really do love the look of this.

Birthday Goodies!!!
My two younger sisters made dinner for me on my birthday as my DH was not well enough to take me out to dinner as he normally does. Yum, homemade tortillas, chicken mole, (pronounced mo-lay, not the rodent) and refried beans. Annie made these purses for me as well as a skirt to match the gold one. She still needed to hem it which is why I don't have a picture of it yet. Janie made me a wonderful set of placemats which I will post as soon as I can. What a wonderful day and how nice to have them up here.

Tiny Blessings
I received a stack of Nursery CS last year and this is one of the sheets from it. Love the way it came out after much huffing and puffing and moving and just general "I don't like it". Used the CB baby die plate, made a pink rose with my new $1 Michael ribbon. Can you believe 50 yards for a buck. Of course it will last me a lifetime.

Soft Pink Vanilla Swirl
I did a couple of quick cards day before yesterday. I had this leftover piece of tissue paper that I had adhered to some freezer paper in a class I gave a long time ago. It wasn't quite enough to make anything with, or so I thought. I bought several rolls of ribbon on sale for a dollar at Michaels recently sooooooo, I made a rose with one, and a bow with another. I like the way they came out. Although getting them to stick to the paper is tough. I used Allene's super tacky glue, no luck. Then a glue dot, again, off it came. So I used a glue "line", same as a glue dot only longer. We'll see how it does.

What do these cards need?
I am counting on my good friends to tell me what I can do to finish this card. Does it need a ribbon? I was thinking a sentiment, maybe happy birthday, but do I put it on the top right or lower left? Looks really blank to me. This one is missing something too. Maybe a long sentiment at the bottom? Or should I just leave it alone?

Anti Card Challenge .......... Bookmarks!!!
Ok, I am so NOT anti card (sorry Laura). That is really all I love to do. I don't scrapbook, (very often) I mainly LIVE to make cards, mostly because they are fairly quick to make. But because I really need some bookmarks I took up this challenge. Here is the first, for my sister Janie. She loved it by the way and Annie wants one like it. I will probably make hers with a different scripture and a really rust base. Here is the second one. This one is mine. Only because I messed up when I stamped the scripture and did it too light. Don't you hate when your pad dries up? I went over it by hand but it will do for me.
Thanks for looking!!!!

Happy Birthday CASE
I saw this on someone's blog and I really liked it. I had done something similar a long time ago and really liked it. I just stamped the flowers in various reds and pink and then stamped the big flowers in versamark and embossed them with white EP. A simple, fast, thank you. Love the simplicity of it.

Shop, Shop, Shop Until we Drop, Drop, Drop!
This was such a fun card to make. First off, I am not fond of Orange. In looking for inspiration I saw the Challenge to use orange, and since I just received my new IN color CS I used some Dusty Durango, or as I call it, ORANGE.
I received a nice little note, and some pretty nifty crowns, from my good friend and pen pal, PEARLABELLA!!! That little note had a little drawing at the bottom and I very boldly and unashamedly (is that a word?) copied it. I am extremely pleased at the way the drawing came out. The shop, shop, shop is handwritten also. I love that the little orange and black brad fits in so well with this color scheme, two colors that I personally would never think to put together. My second card is another that I was really please with. I was cutting the ribbon and as everyone knows, this twill stuff unravels very easily. I caught it on my fingernail and it really went crazy. Fortunately, it looked good that way so I decided to use it as is.

A Challenge from Stamps R Us
My Kota's Kid friend Carrie has a challenge on here blog: http://stampsscrapsandscissors.blogspot.com/
This is my entry for the challenge. I bought a stamp, my first one in months, when I was in Joannes the other day and I had a 50% coupon plus a 10%. I had very little time to shop so this is all I got. Just a quick card and not really what I wanted. I might give the colors another shot.

Inspiration where art thou?
I have been stumped for new ideas lately so I looked around to see what I could find. I found a T-shirt of mine and this is the result. I used markers to watercolors the flowers. Not too bad, but still not what I was looking for. Oh well, tomorrow is another stamping day. No idea why the picture is turned. To tired to try to reload. Hope you can see it ok. TFL!!!
