Another Sketch Challenge entry

I am so much happier with this card. I had the bear in my box of scraps and images. I had tried to use her so many times with no luck .I finally found this DP that went fairly well with the Perfect Plum CS. Is it just me or does everyone have trouble matching Purples?

I used the Cricut Base Camp Cartridge to do the Scalloped BG. It actually looks like a reverse scallop to me. I did the squares with the 2 SU square punces and I used the Cuttlebug Embossing folder on the squares. I didn't label the folders so I don't know which one it is. Floral something.

Added some Stickles, Swiss Dot Walmart ribbon and FINALLY she has been put to use!

I made 3 cards today using images I had stamped and colored long ago but had put aside because they didn't work with what I was doing at the time. Thanks for Looking!

THE fish

Here is a picture of Bill holding MY stringer of fish LOL! We had such a good time. It was just a little bit cooler than the week before up at the lake ,but it still was a beautiful day in the 70's. We got there at 9:30AM and had our limit before noon. I lost my first one. Had it up close to the shore and it got away. Usually Bill not only catches the first fish, but also the BIGGEST. This time I had the honor !!!!!

Mom's Birthday Card

It's my Mom's birthday tomorrow the 24th. Guess what? I made a card for her. BUT, as usual, I am late!

I got the inspirations for this in this weeks Limited Supplies Challenge. To use a shape other than round, rectangular or square. I thought right away of this pattern I had gotten out of a magazine which would be perfect for my Mom! Of course it helped that I had been looking for something just a little while before and ran across the pattern.

I had the little turtle that I had drawn and colored a long time ago on my desk with the pink flowers next to it, because I have also been trying to use my scraps and images already on hand. The TAC DP I just got so fit the colors of the Turtle and the Pixie Pink fit in with the flowers.

Sometimes it is amazing how it all comes together. The ribbon was also matching so I threw that in. All in all I am pretty pleased, added to the fact I don't normally use bold bright colors so that took me out of my comfort zone too.

Another Sunflower

Here is another card done with my new Penny Black Brushstroke Sunflower stamp. I stamped several and I am using the images one by one. I also reached into my scrap pile for the black half circle. It was a quick and easy card. I love the new button brads I found! And what would life be like without my Cuttlebug?

Blooming Garden

The Wildflowers in our yard are blooming, white daisies, Iris', yellow wild rose. Later on the yellow and bronze daisies and the "pinks" and oriental poppies will bloom. The annuals are planted in wine barrels and baskets so that we can cover them to protect them from the wildlife.

KittyKat's BD card

Kittykat FINALLY got her card. It took forever. Anyway thanks to CJ for getting the stamp for me. Love the House Mouse stamps.

Pink Blossom Branch

Here is another card using scraps. I had this image hanging out on my desk forever. I handdrew it and colored it when our computers were down LAST YEAR!! I finally put it to use. Better late than never I guess. I love the Pink bling. I messed up doing the Green Scallop circle and cut too close to the edge of the paper and couldn't use it. Notice I hid that part under the image. Lines in background scored with the Scor-pal. Love that thing!!!!

Mustard Sunflower

I finally managed to do a little stamping this weekend. I determined that I have a LOT of images stamped and colored, and a lot of scraps that I was going to use for other projects that just didn't work out and I set them aside. Well, 2 shoeboxes later I NEED to use some of this stuff. So this card uses my new Penny Black Brushstroke Sunflower stamp and the little green squares with the Cuttlebug embossing on them were from my scrap box. I will try to stamp outside my comfort zone and make these sunflowers another color next time I use this stamp. I have been using Yoyo yellow, More Mustard, white and black way too much lately. Need to check out the Color Challenges on SCS I think.

We're going Fishin'

What a weird day today. It was 28 degrees this morning and it is now up to 80. Wish it would make up it's mind. Good news is the road up to the lake is open now and we are going to go fishing tomorrow! Yippee!!! I don't like to cook fish, other than fishsticks, but my co workers are pretty happy because I usually give them whatever we catch.!!! Here is a picture taken about 5 years ago (when I was much skinnier, and my hair was shorter !!) of me and our catch, and one of my hubby and our catch on different days that summer.

Anniversary Card 2008

This is this years Anniversary card that I made for my husband Bill. We have been married for 28 years! He really love gardening and spends his days out there in the yard. He bought me the Gruffie Bear stamp for my birthday and the Sunflower Penny Black stamp was an anniversary gift. I cheated and put flowers in the card but resisted the urge to put ribbon and Primas. By the way this is just a little bit larger than the standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card. I used the Gruffie Stamp, Penny Black Brushstroke Sunflower, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, SU Whisper White, Yoyo Yellow, Wild Wasabi, Black and Aquabrush with markers for the coloring. I heat embossed the Gruffie image so that it would stand out.

Class BD Card

Haven't really had a chance to post or to make cards lately. I did the cutest card (says I, LOL!) for my Pen Pal Kittykat's BD. I will post it as soon as I know she has received it. I made this card in a class I took a couple of months ago. I love the layout so I am going to try to make it again using different double sided cardstock.
I am currently making a bunch of cards using the same floral main image. I stamped an image from SU Petal Prints in Pink, Navy, Lavendar, and Red. I will be using a different layout with most as I get really bored making them all the same even when I use different colors.

Pen Pal Card

What can I say, I think most of the cards I upload are pen pal cards. I don't remember which one of the many Pen Pals I sent this to. I saw this two sided cardstock in the LSS and it reminded me of the SU Watercolor Garden set. I made an Iris fold out of this DP also but it is just sitting there waiting for me to think of a good layout for it. Wonder how long it will sit?

More Onesie's

Here are the type of Onesie Invitations we made this weekend. I didn't take a picture of the blue ones for some reason. I really liked the Swiss dots added with the Cuttlebug Embossing folder, and instead of adding the word Baby or Special Delivery I just added a bow and a flower. My niece is really tickled with them and is going to save a couple to put in the baby's Scrapbook. I am planning to make her two blankets and will post once I get them done. I have until the 26th of June to finish.

Onesie Invitations

What a great weekend. We laughed so much I thought I would burst. We talked we laughed we ate,we crafted, we SHOPPED! What could be better! We made these onesies originally when my sister was here last month, for my nieces baby shower which will be at the end of June. She needed MORE, so we made some white with yellow, and white with blue. I took a picture and will try to post them tomorrow, but for now these are the first ones we made.
